Help with pawpads

I'm making some sock paws for a costumer and I've run into a problem. I usually use flip flops for the pawpads (I don't recommend this), but the pink flip flops I bought suck. They're falling apart and look just terrible.
Does anyone have a good (fairly inexpensive) idea on how to make durable, outdoor, pink pawpads?
Thanks!

I'm currently thinking of buying a fursuit for myself, and I was curious to see just how some people AFFORD theirs. Even finding reasonable prices, how did you justify buying a fursuit (partial or full)?
I played around with making one for my girlfriend (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/302648
I'm currently making a decent salary at my new job, and my bills are minimal, but it's still really hard to drop hundreds of dollars on such a luxury item.
I just wanted to see what other people's situations were like. Were bills tight? When you got your suit did you regret buying it, knowing how much you spent?
Luckily for me my old boss is looking for me to do some freelance work, so I may be able to bust some ass and cover some of the cost if I do decide to get a suit. Even with that though, I'd have to dip into some of my savings.
Let me know what you think! I figured the best source to ask were the people who know best. Should I get a suit or not. Thanks. =)

So I was working on this otter partial a while ago and never got a good chance to finish his hand paws.
Now that I've gotten to them I've ran into whats turned into a pretty puzzling question. How do you put webbing between the fingers?
I've tried a couple time to hand sew it in after the hand was sewn up, and once actually had the webbing on the inside. ((I don't know why I even thought that would work.))
I'm thinking of doing the webbing fleece unless anyone has another good suggestion.

These paws will have a few features included in the base price of the auction. They will come with included basic stripes, spots or other markings; paw pads; shoulder length; and if desired detachable sleeves so the paws can be worn comfortably with long sleeves.

Foam Carving Curious

Has anyone attempted to sculpt foam remotely this smooth for their heads? (via the pictures in the above link)
Would it be necessary to try and carve this crazy smooth for a head in general?
Or any other part of a fursuit?
Also- tool wise, for trying to smooth out parts on foam (not super smooth, but smooth enough to one's personal desire), what has worked for you so far?
I've heard the majority being electric knives and later scissors for smaller stuff- any specific brands that really stand out or have worked really well for you? Or perhaps any other tools that one could use to achieve smoother carving? (aside from practice that is)
That's all~ Just wondering.

Now, I know the eyes are a slight bit lopsided, but that because they are only sitting right on the foam. It doesn't have a nose yet, and I think the jaw is a little lopsided, but im alright with that.
Anything you see wrong? What do you like about it? Any information will be useful.
Thank you :)

I also would like to ask, would fleece or felt be better for a fur subsitute? Ifrit doesn't have very long fur on his body aside from his head and fur can be very expensive when you can only find good quality fur on rare occasions...
If anyone has any sugestions or tips I'd love to hear please! I've never done a quad before but what I learn from making this one will be used on my 2011 project! Sesshomaru in his demon dog form!

Better funfoam

I'm trying to use a bit of funfoam on a suit head. The inside of the ears. Slow process, won't do any major work on it until after FC. But the problem still can be looked at as it'll give me time. The funfoam I've found at Micheal's, Jo-Ann's, Wal*Mart, and K-Mart all have the same issue. They have foot-prints on them, torn in corners, holes in the middle, and trashed. I thought about buying the foam in a pack, but as I only need two sheets ($1 total for the two) it seems stupid to spend $5 or more on a pack of sheets I'm not going to need. And most of the time you get one sheet of each color, rather than one pack of one color. I haven't found one pack of one color.
Is there another store to buy funfoam at? Good foam, that isn't trashed beyond salvaging? I don't have a Hobby Lobby in my state, I'm afraid, or I'd look there. The main problem is that the stores listed above are public "everything" stores, and not serious crafting stores. So kids go in there, rip it up, play with it, and leave it on the floor and no one cares. Is there any place better?

Got any Sparkle Scraps?

I'm looking for some large-ish scraps of DF's 4'' Sparkle Fur: http://www.distinctivefabric.com/fabric.p
-Yellow: First i'm looking for a piece in yellow that's a good enough size to make a big poofy head tuft from.
-White: Secondly i'm looking for either approx. one square foot (12'') of white as a whole piece or separate smaller pieces that roughly make up that size. It doesn't have to be that size exactly, that's just a rough estimate or how much i'm looking for. More or less is just as welcome!
I'm in the UK and can pay for all costs + shipping with PayPal.
Thank you in advance!

Foam bases and lavender fur??

So is anyone here selling foam bases? I need a female fox foam base, and I can do the eyes. I just need some nice smooth foamwork <3 I'd be willing to pay well! <3
Also!!
I want to know if anyone can find ANY OTHER lavender fur but the one at imstuffedfur.com
Seriously, don't suggest that website. I know they have it, thanks. lol. I don't want to pay 23$ a yard for it when the same type of fur is 18$ elsewhere.
So if you could link me to some lavender fur I will greatly greatly appreciate it!!
Thank you guys so much!!
